The jokes about black-hole node_modules folders are true for a reason. Now, such dependence might seem scary, and rightfully so. Return !!obj & (typeof obj = 'object' || typeof obj = 'function') & typeof obj.then = 'function' Take is-promise for example - sitting at around 10M weekly downloads (mainly from its highly-popular dependents) - with its largest CJS version measuring 5 lines of code (LOCs): module.exports = isPromise You most likely have heard the stories of NPM packages with even less than 20 lines of code, breaking the internet because of the slightest change. It’s not uncommon to see tiny packages have insanely high download stats on NPM. After all, given classNames and React popularity, there’s a high chance that you’ve used it before. The novelty of tiny NPM packagesīut you most likely know it all. ![]() ![]() classNames and React popularity growthĪs the name implies, it’s primarily meant for dealing with CSS classNames (very common in React and any other JSX-based UI framework), although you can use it for any kind of string concatenation. This tiny open-source library, originally created by JedWatson, is nothing but a versatile string “concatenator.” Currently sitting at over 6M weekly downloads, it rose to popularity alongside React - the UI library that it’s most commonly used with. Let me contradict the very title of this post from the start by saying that you probably know the classNames library very well.

![]() Outsole differences between GRR5 (left) and GRR4įrom the photo above you may noticed that the pods has been re-designed as well to resemble a 5-petal shaped instead of the chevron(<<) style in GRR4. (Scroll to the bottom to see condition of the GoImpulse pods after approx 150miles) This may (when I received the GRR5) help manage premature wear of the GoSeries and it was convincing (now, after 150miles) that Skechers does some change to ensure wear and tear is lesser of a worry for runners. The GoImpulse pods at the back of GRR5 has been moved slightly further downwards nearer to the heel-strike area. You can see that the GoImpulse pods has been moved to be more centric around the forefoot and the mid-sole received larger area to counter wear and tear for mid-foot strikers. Evidence of the differences between GRR4 and GRR5 is seen in the photo below. ![]() This include the heel and the mid portion where it provides very good and secured fit.Īs mentioned, the outsole has been revamped. The 3D synthetic overlay runs around the shoe providing support to critical part. Note the silver thingy is the reflector and the blue crash pad has been made bigger/higher when compared to GRR4. here is a closer look of the overlay and the diamond mesh. Coupled with a 3D printed overlay it provides support to toe box. To start with the upper, the new diamond mesh provide both medial and lateral support. The GRR5 was a total change from GRR4 both outsole and upper. No less than 150miles on these babies since January and here is the report. Since then, this pair which precedes GRR4 (duh!) has been my mainstay running shoe as I work the miles (or KM if you are SI-inclined). This time, a long overdue review of the Skechers GoRunRide5 (GRR5) which was given to me around Christmas last year and never seen the light until mid-January. The lapse of blog entry also meant my writing skills are getting bad. I now consider myself to be in semi-sabbatical when it comes to racing - BUT, training continues because it's an active lifestyle I've committed and very much ingrained with the family. Lost many weekends of solid training and many more races that I've wanted to sign up and race. Currently trying to recover from a recent +2GMT trip, returned back to +8GMT and now at GMT. Apologies for the long silence as I've been busy with work and travel. ![]()

![]() The origins of the modern version of the game, and its current name of Bingo, are unclear. The similar Tombola was used in nineteenth-century Germany as an educational tool to teach children multiplication tables, spelling, and even history. Players mark off numbers on a ticket as they are randomly called out, in order to achieve a winning combination. The game is then believed to have migrated to Great Britain, and other parts of Europe in the 18th century. From Italy, the game spread to France and was known as Le Lotto, played by the French aristocracy. The game itself, not originally called Bingo, is thought to have had its roots in Italy in the 16th century, specifically, around 1530 Bingo originates from the Italian lottery, Il Gioco del Lotto d’Italia. In India, it is know by the name of Tambola History These closures are blamed on high taxes, the smoking ban, and the rise in online gambling, amongst other things.īingo played in the UK (90-ball bingo) is not to be confused with bingo played in the US ( 75-ball bingo), as the tickets and the calling are slightly different. The number of bingo clubs in Britain has dropped from nearly 600 in 2005 to under 400 as of January, 2014. Since 2005, Bingo Halls have seen a marked decline in revenues and the closure of many halls. Bingo became increasingly popular across the UK with more purpose-built bingo halls opened every year until 2005. You should be able to max out the current level of stats for Humungosaur at this point and he will fall in about 30 seconds. If you have trouble, then don’t forget to upgrade your alien. Enoch will jump down to your level, so just pound on him with your regular and special attacks until he falls. Then switch back to Humungosaur and push the final block into place. Destroy the enemy, block what you need to and use Echo Echo on the green switches to open the gate. Once the 2nd block is in place, another platform appears so hop over it to the third section. X360a would like to thank Scrapdaddy for this Road Map Hope you have fun with the game and if you hated it, well maybe the guide will help make it less painful. If you really run into trouble or just want to blow through the game as fast as possible, I have a step by step walkthrough for the entire game here. This makes it a perfect candidate for a weekend rental. The average gamer should be able to complete the majority of the game within a single day of dedicated play. Overall the game is not too difficult with the exception of the 100-hit combo. The only other thing that you may have left to do is go for the 50 and 100 hit combos. If you did not use the Swampfire method on your first playthrough you will need to replay a couple of levels to get your million DNA and to fully max out all the aliens. I have listed tips for each challenge under their respective achievements in case you need additional help. Go through and complete any section that you may have missed and mop up any of the remaining challenges. Doing all the above will net you all of the achievements in a single run. Once you finish the game for the first time, be sure to watch the entire credit roll for an easy achievement. Check the "100 Hit Combo" section again when you reach level 6 for an easy opportunity to obtain the 100 hits and the achievement. In addition to the collectibles, half way through level 2 you can use the Swampfire method outlined in "100 Hit Combo" to get to 1,000,000 DNA points relatively quickly. There are not that many but I have them listed in the collectible guide with the rest of the stuff. On the Final Battle level you will want to save all the civilians for “Savior”. I have a guide to the car, camera and slammer locations and it can be found here. You will also want to collect all the Sumo Slammers from each level. You need to pay extra attention to make sure you specifically destroy every car throughout the entire game for “Immobilized” and all the security cameras in the Amazon level for “Camera Shy”. There are 3 achievements for destroying objects, 3 for DNA points and 3 for killing enemies. Then, on each level you will want to focus on destroying every enemy and destructible object you can to collect kills and DNA points. Start by using Ben (human form) and get his 50 kills out of the way. I'd like to recommend that you save every chance you get. The majority of the achievements will be unlocked during the course of normal play and anything else can be completed with the level select feature. The game is a linear action game in the same vein as the Ben 10 Alien Force: Vilgax Attacks game and is generally geared toward a younger audience with a few challenges on the boss fights. They don’t take up much time or effort, they don’t add much to the experience other than a brief bit of fun, and there’s always someone that complains that they’re pointless.” How the world speaks to the player ![]() “These represent those little oddities on the side of the road that draw your eye and get you to make an unexpected visit. “And then there are the Korok puzzle tourist traps,” Raine adds, referring to the game’s little environmental puzzles, where players are rewarded with magic beans for, say, putting apples in front of holy shrines. Pit stops are the places you’d get petrol or check the map on a road trip, and in the game, those are the towers, which provide context for the larger world beyond your directed goals. On a road trip, Raine elaborates, destinations are the big cities you know you’ll visit along the way – in the game, these are the main four dungeons. “It often feels like you’re putting away your phone, opening up the paper map, and setting a destination.” ![]() “BotW’s level design draws a lot from the idea of the road trip,” says Lena Raine, a level designer at Ubisoft who previously worked on Guild Wars 2. Gentle encouragement and correction gives players a reason to keep going as they set self-directed goals (get to Death Mountain or find out what that weird rock formation on top of the cliff is) and figure out how to overcome their own limitations. “The game has the confidence to trust players to be the stewards of their own experience.”īotW doesn’t tell players what to do, it shows them how to do what they want to do. “One of my favourite things about BotW is how totally and gleefully free the experience is,” says Joel Burgess, world director at Ubisoft Toronto, whose past work includes Fallout 4 and Skyrim. So BotW tells you that it is a game about exploration and leaves you largely undirected apart from a few interventions from a mysterious old man. It’s not a tutorial, it’s the whole experience encapsulated into a two-hour mini-adventure.īreath of the Wild introduces players to several of the major enemies in a highly controlled environment. The player is subtly informed about waypoint-setting and quest markers, and pointed towards the end goal – Hyrule Castle. It has several enemy encampments to teach you about combat, different climates that introduce you to stat-boosting food and clothing, and four shrines that mirror the four divine beast dungeons, which provide the main body of the challenge later on. Instead of a conventional tutorial mission, this small region is an intricately designed miniature version of the entire map. When you set out, you are contained within a raised area called the Great Plateau, from which the rest of the world is inaccessible until you earn the paraglider item. The first example of Nintendo’s philosophy of gentle guidance is at the very start of the game. This is how it works: The world in miniature Rather than a daunting and intimidating unknown, the world is a series of breadcrumb trails ready to be discovered and followed. For many developers, the idea of making a 100+ hour game that’s almost entirely player-led is a terrifying prospect, as the lack of overt structure can be overwhelming and dis-incentivising for the player.īotW, however, employs a range of quiet, clever techniques designed to help players navigate the environment. One-and-a-half times the size of open-world trailblazer Skyrim and 12 times the size of Twilight Princess, it provides a vast terrain to explore with barely any restrictions beyond a few hours of subtly enclosed preparation. Released on Wii U and Switch in March, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (BotW) is the biggest Zelda title ever made. As the sweeping orchestral soundtrack swells, you realise that you can go anywhere and that this is not like any Zelda you’ve played before. The greens of the open plains contrast with the dark black of Death Mountain, which is streaked with orange lava on the distant horizon. As your eyes adjust to the light, the world comes slowly into focus – and it is beautiful. You stand up, stretch your aching limbs, walk towards the exit and out into the brilliant sunshine. Y ou wake up, it’s dark and you’re lying in a pool.
